Re: Promiscuity Bashing WAS: Re: [UUPoly-L] poly & pop culture
<grin> GMTA, 'Storm. It makes me *so* angry when poly people tell me
(or I read them quoted somewhere saying) that it's not okay for me to
be poly AND a slut. Quite frankly, I've stopped using the
"polyamorous" label as often, and have considered dropping its use
altogether because I don't want myself boxed in by that definition of
poly.
I don't generally have sex with people who aren't my friends or at
least more-than-just-acquaintances. But sometimes I have sex with
somebody just one time and either we discuss and decide not to do that
again (as happened on a drunken night with my best friend) or the
opportunity just doesn't seem to present itself again (as happened a
few months ago with another friend). Are those one-night stands? Who
CARES? I don't. I love, and I lust, and I kiss, and I cuddle, and I
fuck. Whoever. I. Want. To. (Assuming they want to as well, of
course!) I don't worry about whether or not I am fitting into
somebody's perfect picture of poly life. GRRR.

The revolution is not going to happen tomorrow - it's never going to
happen. It's taking place RIGHT NOW. It is an alternate universe that
coexists with this one, and you can step into it any time you like.
