Okay, I find this fairly offensive to dismiss the sexism of a religious
culture as kinky. Patriarchal cultures coerce women to take subservient
roles and while I (obviously) wouldn't argue that mainstream culture is not
sexist, I don't think the level of overt sexism in general American culture
is anywhere near that of FLDS communities and so there is more of an
argument about to what degree that is consensual (though I will say this: as
a female-bodied sub who plays (sometimes) with men, I am very critical of my
role as a bottom/submissive).
