The Cuban example I don't think is an apt comparison since at least I don't
see it as an anti-oppression issue. And I will agree that Western feminist
ideas around Moslem women have often been racist. But I don't think that the
point of being a multi-cultural society is to support sexist and other
systematically oppressive systems but rather to acknowlege that sexism isn't
something that is only over there in *those* countries but is everywhere. I
think female submissives who have sex with men need to be critical of the
role they are playing, which isn't to say that they shouldn't be submissive
or they are perpetuating sexism. Rather, I think we should the cultural idea
that women *should* be submissive while taking whatever role you want to in
the context of your relationship in bed...
