I don't know all the dark secrets of the LDS culture, but I'll bet they don't officially allow female dom roles.  Unofficially it might be tolerated....or even accepted by couples, but officially the man is god's authority in a traditional LDS family.  
       One "legend" among polygamist families is that the women in practice control much of the man's activity, such as who he sleeps with on a given night, etc.  There seems to be a requirement for separate quarters for the different wives.
