RE: [UUPoly-L] Poly Relationships, Sexism, and CulturalDiversity
There is a world of difference between consenting adults choosing to submit
themselves to another for happiness and desire, and being subjugated to
another by virtue (or vice) of gender. There is an equality among partners
even in healthy BDSM relationships that is not present in oppressive
relationships of any sort. They're just not the same thing.

Comments about "submissives" among BDSM practitioners (many of whom are
poly) should consider the answer given by the informed BDSM practitioner..(I
am, happily, one) Submissives in a healthy BDSM relationship accept that
role happily and with desire. Feminists or others who dislike submissive
practices need to give the right of freedom of choice to the submissives or
the doms. Feminism as I understand it is about informed freedom of choice.
