Re: [UUPoly-L] LDS, Utah and Women's suffrage

30 seconds with google turned up the following

Here are a few resources
http://www.voteutah.org/moments/06.html
http://www.autry-museum.org/explore/exhibits/suffrage/suffrage_ut.html
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0874212235/102-6023411-1999305?v=glance&n=283155

Now none of these should be taken as authoritative (esp. wiki) but it
will put you on the right path if you are interested in reading more. The
third link is for a book which was not available from my library through
interlibrary loan, but several other books by the same author were.

My only experience with Mormons was with a couple I knew in Norfolk. It
was a really nice offer and had I been more mature I probably would have
taken them up on it. It was never clear to me if this was an LDS thing
for her (her husband/my friend was in the process of joining the church)
or something else. Anyway I'm still very fond of both of them and it
rankles when I hear someone trash on the LDS as if all Mormons were alike.
