A UU minister from Utah told me about encountering a UU whose polygamous childhood was happy, and who felt she couldn't talk about it publicly due to the common perception that all polygamists are child abusers.  This was at a session I did about the UUPA at the Mountain Desert District assembly a few years ago.

Thought I try to skew the poll by sending this to the list's I am on.  There 
was 2606 of  15053 votes or 17% saying polygamy should be legal between 
consenting adults at the time of this writing.
