Maybe this gets closer to what I'm trying to say:

I would sometimes question the wisdom of people in being sexual together -- 
but I would always allow adults the right to decide for themselves.  They know 
themselves and each other better than I do.

And I might not share the same sexual tastes as someone else -- but I would 
agree that it is their own decision to make about their own sexuality.

In no way do I think that sex per se is bad.

So, even though I don't think sex is always a good idea, I do think that sex 
is a wonderful activity -- and so I consider myself sex-positive.
