Re: [UUPoly-L] UUCA: welcoming congregation

i've never been one to grok "monogamy's tyrannical rule," possibly because i grew up in cultures where multi-partnering was, if not the norm, then certainly not an uncommon occurrence. men had mistresses -- often known by their wives; women had lovers -- generally more discreet. a close friend of mine remembers accompanying his grandfather to lunch with his grandfather's mistress, and then accompanying his grandmother on shopping trips to said mistress' husband's butcher shop. (this was in belgium, btw.)

but as to brigitte's query, i suggest that if we're going to throw sex in the ocean, we start in Rio de Janeiro. the bikinis are small enough to begin with, and lots of hormonally-jumping folk are already on the beaches.

I'm suggesting I use all the letters in "governing" this time. 8-)

Are you suggesting that we throw sex into the ocean in defiance of monogamy's tyrranical rule over the goernings of sexual encounters?
