I'd like to propose a different way to contrast multiple partner 
relationships. I think a grid or table of concepts and their 
attributes would be more useful than diagrams. For example:

x =  an attribute that is essential to the concept. My apologies if 
the x's don't wind up making sense in your email reader, but I think 
this presents the idea at least.

? = I like the Heinlein definition of love, more or less. Deciding 
whether someone who says they are in love "really" is in love may be 
fodder for another discussion.
