Indeed my mileage varies as two women who love me do not particularly like the word "romance." And since Carlos Castaneda's definition of astral sex does not necessarily involve any skin contact whatsoever, even though one assume's the missionary position while engaging in it is it also "not sex" as relationships without "romance" may be excluded from the your view of what polyamory is and is not?

Romantic love, in my dictionary, implies sexual
attraction.  I don't believe sexual attraction, whether
acted upon or not, can be omitted from the definition
of poly.  There are obviously many definitions of love,
but polyamory is about romantic love.
