[UUPoly-L] News re PolyLiving 2007

As some here may know, the polyamory community lost a good friend and committed community organizer when George Marvil passed away peacefully last week after sucumbing to leukemia. This put into question the fate of his conference, PolyLiving, scheduled for February 2-4, 2007 in Philadelphia. If PolyLiving is to go forward, the poly community needs to step up and REGISTER NOW, BY DECEMBER 31 AT LATEST, or the conference will be cancelled and all monies returned. See info below from George's wife, Cat, for details.

Let's make this a great sendoff and tribute to George, he was a wonderful friend to the community, and I knew him well enough to know that nothing would make him happier than knowing we all gathered once more at the conference he founded to be together in loving poly community to meet new friends and loves, learn from each other and enjoy each other's company.

Please forward to your community lists and anywhere else it would be appropriate and hasn't already appeared - and as Cat encourages, talk it up! Thanks so much.

OK, here's the deal: the hotel will let me cancel PolyLiving by Jan. 1 with no
penalty. So if we don't have 100 paying customers by then (that's the
break-even for this year), I'm going to cancel the event. At this moment, there are 17
registrants, so there's a long way to go.

Feel free to pass this information along to others at will. To register, go to
http://polyliving. com and click on the appropriate link. As a special
incentive, if you put in the pricing code "bsmg" (without the quotes), you'll get $25
off the current conference price ($180).

I don't have access to the mailing list from last year right now because it's
somewhere in the busty innards of G's laptop, and I haven't pried it out yet.
When I do, I'll contact that group, of course. Because of the holidays and
dealing with G's death, I don't have a lot of time and energy to devote to promoting
the event. Frankly, I'm exhausted.

Many people have offered to help make PolyLiving 2007 happen. If you would like
to help, what you can do right now is to talk it up with anyone you think might
be interested. Oh, and register, too.
