Re: [UUPoly-L] Atheists and Republicans

I actually self-identify as Libertarian, having left Republican party involvement in disgust over the push by Christian fundamentalists to turn the Republican party into the Republican church. As a Libertarian, one usually must choke back the bile no matter who one votes for.

pariah on multiple counts <grin>.

It is my belief, based on 50+ years in UU circles, and
nearly that long as a poly, that one will find no hostility
to atheists, indifference to polys, and vehement rejection
of people who disagree with the UU/Ted Kennedy/Democratic
Party position on anything. To gain acceptance in a UU
group I suggest you keep your political views to yourself
and be discrete and leisurely about sharing your poly
lifestyle. This is said with the sincere hope that in time
the long-standing UU acceptance of alternative religious
views will extend to alternative political views.

Best regards to all.
