Dues waivers for UUPA membership will be considered for cases of financial
hardship; waivers are granted for one year at a time. Note that UUPA dues and
donations pay for the UU World ad, the General Assembly booth, printing of
brochures and literature, manufacture of membership buttons, and other UUPA
expenses.

The UUPoly-L mailing list has no dues. The list is separate from UUPA and
open to anyone who wants to subscribe.

There was/is a strong sense that UUPA has to provide more that just
"Male/Female" choices for gender, but there is no clear precedent on what the
additional choice(s) ought to be. Note that the UUA Office of BGLT Concerns
publishes their Transgender info sheet as a "draft" because this field of information
is still taking shape:

Some transgender individuals consider themselves male or female, and they
are welcome to say so on the membership form. But some transgender individuals
want or need to tell us they are transgender, and we need to make it easy for
them to do so.
The UUPA board would be happy to hear feedback about the wording of this
question, especially from people for whom male or female does not provide an
adequate choice. Send email to _uupa@uupa.org_ (mailto:uupa@uupa.org)
