I look forward to learning more about the research you plan
to do in order to make a well-informed decision. What
approach do you plan - empircal testing, consideration of
theoretical outcomes, a meta-analysis of previous research,
or what?

Key question. Others have sometimes included toads in their
experiments, with warty results, so be very careful. It may
be hard to judge the amorous interests of an amphibian, or
the level of arousal already present, but some researchers
report the warty outcome can be avoided by kissing only
"horny" toads. On theoretical grounds there is no reason to
doubt that outcome. Some of the studies done in this area
have been underwritten by a large beer company, so the
results may be tainted in some respects by a conflict of
interest.
