Again, I don't need a bunch of links or studies to prove my point, just good
old empirical data. I submit that due to the unrealistic portrayal of women,
their objectification as nothing but sexual creatures and the prevalence of
so much porn (internet and print) that the boys/men just don't need the
hassle of a relationship when they can have it all online without playing the
courting game.

First of all women ARE sexual creatures. That is not the be and all of it
but thank G-D that they are.
(Btw, men are sexual creatures too.) I say that a little objectification
within boundaries is healthy. What makes it unhealthy is our collective
inherited Puritan heritage. As for Internet and print porn trumping actual
relationships, the Net and Porn is not having it all. Nothing beats physical
contact, besides, I personally consider the courting game to be fun.
Of course the portrayal of women in porn (and cultural media btw) is
unrealistic. Pornography is FANTASY. So are the movies and television. The
problem comes when people confuse fantasy with reality. In real life, people have
warts, rolls, blemishes and baggage. Dealing with these realities are part
and parcel of relationships.
Frankly, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
