This is awesome! One giant "reductio ad absurdum" argument in action.

You know, sometimes the best way to fix a problem is to simply work hard to fix
it, to keep it from happening. But *sometimes* the best way to fix a problem is
to really EXAGGERATE the issue first, to make everyone realize the problem
exists, and to what extent it does. Then the actual fix often comes much easier
than if you had simply been trying the first technique for a long, long time.

Those of us bemused by irony often particularly enjoy this second technique.
