well, Interweave did get their act together in January
http://www.qrd.org/qrd/www/orgs/uua/uu-interweave.html
in time for about ~60 people to decide that they could make it.
age balance:
<30 : ~20% teens/young adults
~30--~50: ~40%
~50+ : ~40%
-- these are my own very rough guesstimates
for this LateBreaking News report,
and may be off +-20%
This was my first convo.
I attended as a member of
UUCA LGTBQ and PFLAG committee
and volunteered as gofer/chauffeur, last-minute helper, etc.
I created a stir as the only self-identified poly spokesperson.
good energy; several people noted that my
few comments on poly issues made a difference for them;
others said that the small groups were buzzing about poly.
One of the eye-openers for me was the
Review of Youth Ministry Survey Results by Sexual/Affectional
Orientation.

Unitarian Universalist Youth Ministry Survey Detailed Results ...
Respondents who reported their sexual/affectional orientation as gay,
lesbian, bisexual, ...
The document circulated at Convo contained a subreport
of just the non-heterosexual (81%) responses
6.4% bisexual
1.0% gay
1.3% lesbian
1.4% pansexual
0.3% queer
0.1% transgender
8.4% questioning
What I noted was that the bisexual respondents
-- admittedly the largest group
wrt a label we recognize --
'were more likely'
to participate in youth organizations, be leaders, etc.
I'll project that that krewe would be extroverts.
After quite a bit of thinking on the age balance
and after listening to the incredible personal success stories
of the other elders aged 50+,
-- of which I was definitely one of younger, at 60+ --
I pledged a $100 scholarship
for some of next year's underfunded youth travelers.
I had worn my PSE screen name as a my badge
so when the buzz mentions UncleRon, that's me.
