I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with relegating polyamory to a "philosophy".
It makes it sound like a fancy one takes on a slow Sunday afternoon. For me,
and for at least one of my partners, it is not a philosophy, it is the way we
are wired. Even being raised Catholic in the ultra-conventional 1950's,
I was never able to imagine being able to practice monogamy; it was literally
inconceivable. I'm just as poly as I am male or freckled or human, for that
matter. It is not something I thought up, nor could I change it if I wanted
to.

I recognize that for some people, it may be a choice; but as someone who was
born this way (as near as I can tell, and not that I'd want it any different),
it leaves me feeling pretty invisible.
