When the minister you speak of said he wasn't going to lay on hands, and
then a minute later said he just slipped up and forgot, I'd bet money 10 to
1 that he was lying. This is normal among people who believe they have
God-given duties that override honesty and decency toward people. Has your
wife thought this out?


She's starting to.  That's part of what's giving her problems.
She sees the good in pastor tyner, as I do, but she's starting to see the
problems too, and that's deeply uncomfortable for her.

If she is involved in poly or even just OK with it, one might say that she
too is lying in church by pretending that she doesn't disbelieve basic
truths of that church.


Yup, that's why I haven't gone there before.  I didn't feel that I could
"pretend" to believe.
