I find it very problematical to talk about "marriage vows being broken", 
unless we know for certain what those marriage vows were.
 
Everybody assumes the "marriage vows" included vows of monogamy.  Personally, 
at my own Unitarian Universalist wedding, I don't recall making any such 
promises of monogamy.  (Of course, it was quite some time ago -- 1979 -- but since 
I already felt "poly" at the time -- even though I didn't have that word for 
it -- I would have been very aware of any promise of monogamy by either me or 
my wife).
