[UUPoly-L] intro/comment on marriage vows

Hi--I'm writing from Iowa... twenty-something lasped/dormant UU, and poly by
inclination but not by experience (my husband and I have talked about a
long-term mff triad relationship for years, but only recently decided that
it's truly something we want to pursue).  When our wedding ceremony was
performed by a UU minister last year (a lovely gentleman from Burlington),
we purposely omitted the bit about "forsaking all others" (though there was
plenty of good stuff about honoring and supporting each other).

The whole point of being UU and marrying as a UU (for me) is not having to
espouse beliefs I don't hold in order to be part of an intentional spiritual
community.  Long before I called myself poly, I rejected the concept of one
love/life, which raised the possibility of more than one love at a time...
and I decided I was for it.  :)

Anyhow, just wanted to add my two cents and say hello.  Feel free to contact
me with questions, or if there're those in the Iowa City/CR-Corridor area
who'd be interested in a poly meetup.
