Your compliment is acknowledged. I like to think (whether it's true or not
;-) that people who choose alternative paths, regardless of what type, are
more inclined than the average person to understand the value of hearing
other points of view and challenging their own position.
After all, "The unexamined life is not worth living..." (attributed by Plato
(in his "Apologia") to Socrates.) I believe that most people arrive on
alternative paths because they understand this, or at least more of us
understand this than do in the populace at large.
