These are problems. Our culture is never going to solve
them without the spur of multi-partner marriage to goad them
into action.
IOW, my objection to your argument is that it would draw the
line against group marriages for all time. You object to
group marriage as incompatible with a huge number of things
in current society that ARE NEVER GOING TO CHANGE until
group marriage is introduced. You are using mere inertia
as an argument that society should *never* change.
I think that solving some of these problems would be a good
thing. Therefore your argument only strengthens my desire
to advocate the legalization of group marriage.
