I don't think it's consistent with history to expect that
this kind of effort and resource allocation will be done in
the absence of an immediate requirement, in the form of a
lot of plural unions.

There are right wing think tanks, several of them, that bring together conservative politicians and academics to try and figure out strategies for changing laws to fit their agenda. Sometimes they even craft bills, slip them to legislative friends, and work with lobbyists to get them passed. They sometimes lay out startegies to effect changes over the course of many years. It's not so far out of the question for poly folks to do something similar.


Again, differences of opinion make life interesting, and we may agree to disagree on this point.
