I think it would be an avenue to provide education for poly and non poly folks alike. People on this list (I assume) are poly or poly friendly. Many UU people read the uupdates feed. With a ploy blog we could be on that feed where many UUs could see us and learn *accurate* info about UU poly rather than what is being posted now. There are some scary myths being put out there.

Well, for one, you wouldn't have me writing things designed to challenge and 
question polyamory on a UUPA blog.  ;-)

I see this list as better suited for back-and-forth conversations and 
debates, with people expressing different views in a mostly unedited manner. 
It can be hard to wade through a long thread of posts to get the main 
point(s). And it can be difficult to see how some threads relate to UU 
concerns.

I see a UUPA blog as offering readers information in a form that resembles 
short articles. The short article can present points in a more direct and 
concise manner. The UUPA blog could also focus on topics that more clearly 
and directly relate to UU concerns.

Another way to think about it: At scientific conventions, scientists with 
common research interests often sit around conference tables and debate 
current theories. This sometimes leads to interesting research or new ideas. 
However, to a non-scientist, the debates would seem quite confusing. A 
non-scientist would probably benefit more from a textbook or from a few 
magazine articles that introduce the theories. This list is like the 
conference table where poly folks sit around debating and discussing. A UUPA 
blog could be more like magazine articles that clearly introduce concepts to 
non-poly folks.
