As Bill mentioned in his prior post, there was:
a member who insisted on "leading" the group, and having everything his own
way - and threw >tantrums when people wouldn't "follow".
More than one article on the website identifies this person. And people did
grow tired of it.
I also get the impression from the articles that the group often did not
live up to its ideals. Rather than admit falling short of their ideals, or
question whether the ideals were naive, the group generally pretended they
were living up to their ideals. This kind of denial can last only so long
before people start to question it and/or get sick of it.
I'd be interested in hearing more about why Kerista broke up. It sounds like
the break up was caused by a complex mix of things. Many socially monogamous
marriages break up for a complex mix of reasons, too. I wonder if there are
analogies...
