Where there is not respect, there will not be teamwork.
Seriously. In my not-so-humble opinion, there's no point
trying to forge links between otherwise diametrically
opposed groups that happen to have one idea in common.
The Mormon Polygamists will not work with the poly
community, and the poly community will not work with them.
In the absence of respect, each group would try to "lead"
the other, hide "private" information from the other, and
generally continue to act independently.
Any victory won by either camp in terms of plural marriages
will benefit both. But that does not mean that either camp
is capable of truly tolerating and respecting the other.
