[UUPoly-L] An invitation to UUPA from PolyQuakers

Dear Members of UUPA:
 
As co-moderator of the "PolyQuakers" Yahoo group, I have the groups support to invite "Friend-friendly" poly UUs to join us in our growth and exploration.  We're a young, small group, and still haven't fleshed out our home page (this will probably begin this weekend), but we're on our way!  We especially invite anyone who is familiar/resonant with and/or curious about Quaker process - since the group will partially serve and an organizing and discernment touch point, as well as for general poly nurture and support...."in the manner of Friends"  I will also most likely begin to grow as an information resource to Friends, about living polyamorously, and how Meetings as a whole can "minister" can offer the full range of spiritual hospitality to such individuals, relationships and families.  

I'm happy to say that already in our small group, we have a nice representation of diverse sexual orientations, gender identification/trans and spirituality (ie: Quaker-pagan, Quaker-Buddhist, Quaker-.....well...Quaker, etc. ) and age.  I'm also happy to say that Friends' LBGTQ group have successfully convinced the organizers of our annual Gathering, to designate some bathrooms at the campus we're using this year, as "gender non-specific"....interesting!  This promted a discussion about the "family plan" rate for attending the weeklong Gathering, which limits the adults under such a plan to 2, as well as the tent camping fee to 2 adults per tent.........veerrryyyy interesting.  :-D   Has UUPA confronted this at the annual gathering?  (sorry I forget what you call it...but "congress" is coming to mind for some reason)  

We feel some wonderful inspiration and mutual support might be shared, by "cross-pollinating" the lists.  So....by all means....welcome.
