[UUPoly-L] So How Was Friday at GA?
It was a good day. The basic climate is more relaxed about coming up as
asking us how do you pronounce that word. Polyamory.
When we were doing the presentations in workshops we were basically talking
to a large group in each session that we didn't meet or hear from.
With the booth there is a lot of one on one. Especially I think is to work
on the ministers. Well we have a small church and I know all the families.
We don't have any poly families in our congregation. My response screaming
in my head is B** S***. You are in a mono relationship and you have just
told me that is as much as you can imagine possible handling in a
relationship situation. You would not see a poly situation. But let's
just for fun, say one of your very stable family couples came to church with
a friend one Sunday. And during your sharing time got up and said we would
like to share a big joy and introduce Alice and mine's lover from Cleveland,
Bill.
How would your congregation react? Well the minister that was absolutely
aware that he needed no additional awareness about polyamory finally
answered, it would be a learning experience for the congregation. He then
decided to take a few pieces of literature.
The young people don't want to talk to any old people about how they do
relationship. But they love the poly stickers and I love more than one
buttons as a math and symbol formula. So there are a lot of those buttons
around. And the older people that thing it is safe to wear because they can
always say well of course I love my three children.
Poly breakfast at 7:30 tomorrow. Yuck! Need to get to bed.
