I know a couple who are in a relationship where the only 2 rules are prior
knowledge to the relationship/date and the ability to veto a partner. (The
only veto was when a girlfriend was trying to come between the couple and
break them up). They are not poly. They just have an open relationship.
There are other options. Those who need other options just need to be
honest with their partner and come up with them.
