Re: [UUPoly-L] cheating other angle

To me, the difference between poly and open is this: open relationships are usually emotional connections between the couple, and sexual relationships with others with minimal emotion or permanancy. Poly is multiple marriage type partners, with emotional intertwinings and usually sexual intertwinings as well.

Either is ok, in my book, as long as it is consensual in all directions (everyone knows about everyone else, and is ok with it)

They are not poly. They just have an open relationship.

What you describe matches my understanding of what poly is: Honest,
responsible, non-monogamous intimate relationships. What do you see as the
difference between poly and an open relationship such as the one you
described?
