It's nice to see a Friends connection here on UUPoly. I led a workshop on
polyamory at a UU District meeting a couple of years ago, and a Quaker gentleman
contacted me about it and attended the program.
UUPA led workshops at the UUA General Assembly each year from 2002 to 2005.
In 2006 we had an informational booth in the General Assembly's Exhibit Hall.
We've spoken with trustees and ministers, and lots of people have led poly
programs in lots of UU congregations. The response from individuals has been
mixed, ranging from "Of COURSE we accept polys" through curiosity and
confusion to fear, distress, and resistance. There's a lot of work still to be done.
