because household refers to my (in this case, theoretical) children too. And
my pets. When I speak of the relationship I have with my husbands/boyfriends
and wives/girlfriends, or when others speak of us, there could/should be
other words available, similar to "couple".

What if there were a "couples" event that I wanted to take all of my
partners to? What could they call it instead, to include those in
relationships that don't equal 2 people?
