Re: [UUPoly-L] Poly talk
Hooray, great, congratulations.
How large a congregation and where?

Well, that went better then expected.
On Sunday, I presented my talk on polyamory for a
non-poly crowd at our UU church. It was part of our
adult FORUM series.
I was actually a bit surprised at the crowd. I
started with about 6 people, and got up to around 10
by the end of my talk, when the Q&A started. Given
that there was only about 15 people at the service
before my talk, I thought that wasn't too bad of a
turn out.
I was also happy that I got a mostly positive responce
to the talk. It helped that both my wife and my
girlfriend were there for the talk as well, and they
helped field some questions. It especially helped to
have my girlfriend there, since she isn't a member of
our church and she was able to help field questions
about being the third person to a married couple.
Actually, we've all been invited back to do another
presentation for a FORUM in the fall, but this time
they want to actually do it as a three person panel
discussion. We've all talked about it and think it
would be a good idea. When it gets closer we'll
figure out our schedules.
Well, I just thought people here would be interested
in hearing about how things went.
