Sorry it took me a while to get back to you...I just hadn't checked this discussion group for a while.
Primarily I'm reacting to the journalist's "definition" of polyamory. I do also feel a "yikes" in response to the person who submitted the question....seems like she might have tried to seek out opinion on some poly discussion lists, or the like, instead of a mainstream "advice columnist". At any rate, several of us wrote to Margo, and referred her to sites where she might be more educated about polamory. She wrote back to me stating she got a LOT of mail about this column from poly-folk pointing out the definition is lacking. She appreciated the input, and seemed more open minded to polyamory as an "orientation" rather than a social ill. So perhaps some small progress.

I'm curious... which part do you find to be the "yikes"? the original
question, or the columnist's response?
