I heartily disagree. I think he was (deliberately or not) being quite  
judgmental about swinging, both implicitly and explicitly. he created  
a mythical "poly life is a shiny, happy, enlightened" scenario, while  
leaving the swinging side of the debate (which he invoked) almost  
entirely to innuendo and the reader's imagination.

"impartial observation" comes to mind.
