I would disagree with one this for one passage that I remember, even though  
it has been years and years and years since I read it. A passage in the first  
publication had a male character fleeing a scene in distress, but nothing 
about  it made any sense at all. I hate it when things don't make sense. I  
couldn't find any satisfactory reason for anyone to need to run off that way. In  
the longer reprint, the scene includes other details that explain it. 
 
Now maybe the missing details were obvious to more sophisticated  people than 
I was as a naive, 18 year old, fundamentalist Southern Baptist. But  the 
longer read was worth it to me for that one passage alone. I like for things  to 
make sense.
