huh. my friend gave the ethical slut to me. she said she read the first chapter and threw the book across the room because she hated it so much. but i really did like it, learned some interesting things, and laughed quite a bit. yes, it did seem to be talking about to me some, but not unbearably, and the rest of the stuff in the books made it worth it to overlook that aspect. i wonder what the difference is between me reading it, and you and my friend.
