[UUPoly-L] Sexuality Ministry at the University of Pennsylvania (Sl off Topic)

To the Clergy on UU Poly.

The following is a letter I sent off to my Unitarian Universalist
Congregation after getting the E mail link to Rev. Dale's Sexuality
Ministry. Although not directly related to Polyamory, it IS related to
teaching our college aged men and women more about sex positivity and
celebrating our sexuality. I firmly believe her work needs wider
distribution, especially to the clergy.

Those of you on the UU Poly list who are active in your congregations
Worship Committees should be very interested in having her speak at your
congregations. She is an excellent speaker with a humorous flavor and gave
a delightful presentation at Poly Living in 2008. She is well aware of
the joys and sorrows of Polyamorous families.

I encourage a good look at her work. I especially enjoyed her essay on
Why Should We Get Married? at:

My Letter to the Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River, Chestertown,
MD

Several months ago we had a guest minister, Rev Beverly Dale speak on
Noncreedal Religions and Unitarianism.
Many of you do not know that although she is a Christian minister she has
established a sexuality ministry at the Christian Association of the
University of Pennsylvania which she calls Passion Works
http://passionworks.upennca.org/pw_home/

In this Sexuality Ministry she addresses concerns of college aged people on
sex, religion, marriage, alcohol, with an enlightened perspective. She is
about as far from "just say NO" as you can get. She dares to put God and
Sex into the same sentence.

I contribute to her ministry so I am on the mailing list. Here is a link
to her recent E mail and I hope you will take a look. Beverly is a
formidable army of one who has set out to change Christian thinking on
sexuality -- and it looks like she is making progress.

In her work to spread the word about a rational approach to sexuality in the
Christian Church she has been in close contact with and supported by
ministers from the Unitarian Universalists.

I feel her messages need wider distribution and I hope we can invite her
back to speak again.

its votaries live in confidence, equality and unreserve.
