[UUPoly-L] Man, oh man
Fifty years ago, my (white) family made a road trip from Chicago to
Florida for Christmas vacation. I saw Jim Crow first hand--two
entrances to restaurants, three bathrooms at filling stations (men,
women, colored), two drinking fountains (one cooled, the other
not). I never forgot the experience.
And today, a man of color (as opposed to a colored man) has a good
shot at the presidency. I cannot believe we have come so far in my
lifetime. In trying to explain what a historic day it is to my 6
year old, I got all choked up.
Please, vote. Power to the poly people!
