Re: [UUPoly-L] defense of marriage & the Bible was a troublesomethough
in reply to Dave Hall & K Kylev, a couple of things come to mind:
1. the doc film "The Education of Shelby Knox," about a Lubbock teenager advocating for safe sex information in her public school and the opposition she received from the very many secular & sacred knuckleheads out there, is very good viewing
2. can anyone give a review of this book, available from Skinner House, which I haven't read:
The Prophetic Imperative: Social Gospel in Theory and Practice. Richard S. Gilberthttp://www.uua.org/publications/skinnerhouse/browseskinner/titles/20446.shtml
3. so if reason or public information isn't going to reclaim the discourse, what about use of the prophetic traditions or of prophecy?
