Re: [UUPoly-L] concerned newcomer
Jess... never, in my memory at least, has anyone made a comment even close
to this.
Something about the inherent worth and dignity of every person comes to
mind, tho I have to say there are a few people on my short list of those for
whom the world would be better off without. But not someone who just wants
my "stuff". Last year someone stole my snowblower out of my yard. (I'm in
Wisconsin.) I ended up writing it off as them needing it more then I did.
Who am I to judge what's in people's mind or heart... including the original
posters. If I had a gun, I might use it if there was intent to murder, but
I'm not convinced I would use it even in the case of rape, tho I suppose I
would show it in an attempt to get them to change their mind.
Dunno... hard call, interesting question. Stick around, even this will turn
out well, and you'll end up with things to consider.
