This reaction might be true for Barbie, but none of my partners, and 
certainly not my wife, would want traditional marriage today. We 
would do a big celebration of our commitment perhaps, but we wouldn't 
have all the conventional religious stuff or the usual wedding 
hassles. There are women who don't want to go through the red tape of 
government approved marriage. Years ago we called them liberated. Now 
maybe just smart.
