Maybe. Or maybe they are not prioritizing poly visibility--just have  their 
focus somewhere else. Do you feel comfortable asking the  minister/worship 
leader or religious education director to help you find  other poly people? Or 
talking to the BGLT people in the congregation?

Quite the opposite. We very visibly created a UUPA chapter, and it  created a 
lot of controversy. People on both sides of the controversy felt a  lot of 
distress, and people on both sides left the congregation. Some people  didn't 
leave UUism; they just went to a different UU congregation. And some  people 
left for very different reasons.
