Re: [UUPoly-L] About RSVP
I'm a former college French student. RSVP means "Respondez-vous s'il vous Plait"
--Respond if you please, or "please respond". Whoever writes RSVP to you wants your
answer.

Hi,
Michael Paprocki here,
My THANK YOU goes out to Chuck Lee :-)
I have been trying to find out where RSVP come from for DECADES.
I've asked dozens of poeple - no one knew.
I didn't occur to me to ask a French teacher.
With appreciation
Michael
P.S. I still don't understand what reverse RSVP means -
but I don't care.
One thing at a time. lol
