Re: [UUPoly-L] UUPoly-L Digest, Vol 48, Issue 19
Why Ken! I'm surprised you think all those medications and conditions are a normal part of aging...they need not be if we take a different approach. I'm an almost 53 year old "crone", with a 63 year old lover. We need none of those meds., and we "get laid" everyday...sometimes more than once...or twice....when we get together (and I'm not just talking about being together for one or two days...to be clear). (oh...and I'll fess up to the lube...on occasion) For anyone who'd like to learn more about sustaining youthfulness into the "senior years", I highly recommend "Ageless", by Suzanne Somers, as part of an overall wholistic approach to wellness. I had to get past my superficial opinion of her, and crack the book open. There are number of anit-aging docs who have some really interesting things to say about what we can to to sustain our youthfulness and juiciness.
If that 63 year old Geezerette is who I think it is, give her a kiss from me. .....and make it a good one!...and if not....oh heck, give her one anyway.

Dear Melissa, Anyone who is moving on in years and beginning to reach for
the bulk laxative which is stored in the closet along side the large bottle
of lube is eligible to join Polygeezers.
We have kept the name Polygeezers as I personally want folks to not take
getting older too seriously. Yes, our health does change, and we need bulk
laxative and lube (and Flomax and Viagra and HRT meds and vaginal hormone
rings, and have saging libidos and saging penises). But many of us have
healthy relationships and still get lots of hugs and lots of love and some
of us even get laid once in a while. While our bodies are changing, we
still seek love and intimacy and relationship. Things change as you get
older but, at least for me, entering my Golden Years has been a wonderful
adventure.
Polygeezers is a place where you can share the changes taking place in your
life and loves (note pleural) with others that are having the same changes
with honesty and acceptance by those who are in the same boat.
And Polygeezers gives us a place to laugh at ourselves and extract joy from
every bit of life we have left.
We have some younger members who just might be curious to see what it is
like to be Poly and to get old too.
Ken Haslam (a 74 year old Polygeezer who at this very moment is
entertaining a 65 year old Polygeezerette [sic].... (sigh!)

Love withers under constraint; its very essence is liberty. It is compatible
neither with obedience, jealousy nor fear. It is there most pure, perfect,
and unlimited when
its votaries live in confidence, equality and unreserve.
