[UUPoly-L] Remembering Paul Newman (1925-2008)

Actor, director, race car driver and philanthropist Paul Newman recently passed away after a long battle with cancer. He was 83.

Newman was also a Unitarian Universalist, and lived out his values by raising over $220 million in charitable contributions through his "Newman's Own" line of foods. He also co-founded the Hole In the Wall Gang Camps, which host thousands of seriously ill children every summer free of charge.

I hope we can all take a special moment to remember this man, and more importantly to continue honoring him by following his example -- giving back to our communities in any way we can.
