Re: [UUPoly-L] Spiritual Polygynist Family
Interesting stuff. What is "spiritual polygny"?
FWIW, I've heard the term "plural wives" used exclusively in the
Mormon context. Could be a clue as to the book's context.

Hi Kahlah,
Thanks for your question as it has prompted me to learn
something. I have been active in Polyamorous Groups since 1996 and I
had never heard the exact term "Spiritual Polygynist Family" unless
it was slipped into "Big Love" and I missed noticing it.
I could not find any reviews on the book that you mentioned, but
when I Googled the author, the first listing was:
Ben H Szymanski Books: Buy in India
I would guess that shows some Significance as in the primary readers
culture. I could be totally wrong too.
When I first read your term "Spiritual Polygynist Family", my
first thought was, "all Womyn ... Cool, Lesbian Pagan Poly" and that
turned out to be totally wrong. I realized it by the subtitle of the
book, "Plural Wives Justified" . Now, as an American Pagan, I
Associate the whole concept of needing to Justify one's Lovestyle to
either Society or Diety as Ludricous, because one of Paganism's most
ancient Sacred Writings says, "The Goddess ... receives all forms of
Love as Her worship."
Thanks for Reminding me Not to jump to Conclusions based on my
own personal Cultural Views. I also recommend that when you discuss
your goals with other Poly Folk, be sure to Define your Terminology
Carefully regard what Spiritual path you are on.
Just my 2 cents.
Blessed Be,
Karen / Kardia

Hello!
I understand that many of the UU Poly group are of all different
aspects of
Poly arrangements (or is configuration the word?). And, of course, I
respect wherever ones heart is and wish all the best with many
blessings.
However, where my heart is, is in the Spiritual Polygynist Family.
I would
like to connect with others who are Spiritual Polygynist if you
would be so
kind as to contact me, please. I look forward to hearing from any
of you
Polygynist.
I am also, wanting to know if anyone has read: The Naked
Polygamist: Plural
Wives Justified by Szymanski, Ben H.. I find no reviews on the book
online. If you have read it can you tell me if it is fiction or non-
fiction
and is it religious---Christian, Mormon, Muslim or what. Maybe you
could
give me a brief review, please. Thank you. I am always searching
for new
info on Polygyny. Any suggestions is appreciated.
Have a wonderful day. And, thank you for your time.
Blessings
Kaylah
