[UUPoly-L] Helping end Don't Ask Don't Tell in US
--- Forward ---
Last week, Lt. Dan Choi asked us to share the news of the verdict from
his military trial with the Courage Campaign community. He also asked
you to sign a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi asking her to take
leadership to repeal the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy that made this
disappointing verdict possible.
Before July 4th, nearly 90,000 people signed this letter to Speaker
Pelosi -- including you. And, today, our friends at the Servicemembers
Legal Defense Network sent an email message to their members asking
them to sign it as well.
It's time to take Lt. Dan Choi's cause to the US Congress and call on
Speaker Pelosi to take a stand. We want at least 150,000 people to
join Lt. Choi. That's why we're extending the deadline to sign this
letter a few more days. To help Lt. Choi deliver as many signatures as
possible to Speaker Pelosi, will you forward this message to your
friends right now?
GOAL: 150,000 signatures. DEADLINE: 5 p.m. Friday, July 10:
